fmscore is a Perl5 program which uses the Mail::Freshmeat Perl module to parse freshmeat daily e-mail newsletters, and then rank them by interest according to highly flexible user-supplied ranking rules. Articles below a specified score will be removed from the output. fmscore is intended/suitable for use as a procmail filter.
freshmeatGrinder is more than software and more than a mailing list. It's both. The program processes the freshmeat e-mail digests and reformats it moving more interesting entries to the top, and recently-repeated entries/entries without change descriptions to the bottom. This has been hooked up to a mailing list to save you the effort of setting it up yourself. Send a message with "subscribe" in the subject to "email@example.com" to subscribe.
