X-Unikey is a tool that lets you type Vietnamese in an X Window environment. It has been tested with many popular programs such as OpenOffice, emacs, vim, QT, and GTK applications. It has all the features of Unikey, the Windows version, except that its GUI is simplified. All options are set through configuration file or keyboard shortcuts.
pflogx is a simple tool that exports OpenBSD packet filter logs to XML files. It reads a binary log file generated by the pf logging daemon (pflogd) and generates a human-readable and exploitable XML file. Using an XSLT processor you can convert this XML file to any other format, such as HTML, CSV, or SQL.
nwcc is a C compiler for Unix systems. It targets Linux, Mac OS X, BSD, and Solaris on 80x86 (with nasm and gas), Linux, Mac OS X, and FreeBSD on AMD64 (with yasm and gas), Solaris and Linux on SPARC (64-bit), AIX and Linux on PowerPC (32- and 64-bit), and IRIX on MIPS (64-bit). Cross-compilation is also supported. It doesn't feature any software development support beyond plain compilation.
aria2 is a utility for downloading files. The supported protocols are HTTP(S), FTP, BitTorrent, and Metalink. It has a powerful segmented downloading ability, downloading a file from multiple sources and multiple protocols and utilizing your download bandwidth to the maximum. It supports downloading a file from HTTP(S)/FTP and BitTorrent at the same time, while the data downloaded from HTTP(S)/FTP is uploaded to the BitTorrent swarm. Using Metalink's chunk checksums, aria2 automatically validates chunks of data while downloading a file like BitTorrent.
aircrack-ng is a set of tools for auditing wireless networks. It's an enhanced/reborn version of aircrack. It consists of airodump (an 802.11 packet capture program), aireplay (an 802.11 packet injection program), aircrack (static WEP and WPA-PSK cracking), airdecap (decrypts WEP/WPA capture files), and some tools to handle capture files (merge, convert, etc.).
The Kuartet Desktop project aims to create a visually appealing, easy to use desktop built upon KDE. It consists of a library written around Superkaramba that makes it easy to write desktop applets that are integrated within a centralized desktop theme, a set of very usable desktop applets, and graphical configuration tools. The main desktop applet is the Kuartet Manager, which provides quick access to documents, applications, bookmarks, etc.
