mass is a program that lets a system administrator execute programs on some set of machines as root. It uses SSH, scp, sudo or su, pings hosts before attempting to scp to them, retries failed hosts, works well with ssh-agent (but also handles SSH password or passphrases) and in general makes life easier whenever there's a need to do some operation on many machines.
