HTTPTunnel is a simple client/server application for creating an HTTP tunnel between two machines, optionally via a Web proxy. This tunnel can then be used to wrap arbitrary TCP socket traffic in HTTP, thus allowing communications even through a restrictive firewall that only allows outgoing HTTP connections.
CGIProxy is a Perl CGI script that acts as an Internet proxy. Through it, you can retrieve resources that may be inaccessible from your own machine. The user is kept as anonymous as possible from any servers. HTTP and FTP are supported, and optionally SSL. Common uses include censorship circumvention, VPN-like setups, anonymous proxies, personal proxies, and others. Options include text-only browsing (to save bandwidth), selective cookie and script removal, simple ad filtering, access restriction by server, encoded target URLs and cookies, configuration by end user, and much more (currently about 50 config options). Javascript and Flash are fully supported. An online demo is available.
SafeSquid is a content filtering proxy server. It supports 'profiled' Internet access, a browser based interface, very fast throughput, DNS caching, content caching, pre-fetching, bandwidth control, virus scanning, ICP, CARP, and ICAP clients, source, target, and time-based granular firewall style rules to allow or deny content like music, videos, Flash and Java applets, messengers, chats, cookies, ActiveX, scripts, etc., remote authentication, real-time text and image analysis for blocking pornography, and an URL filter.
Pound is a reverse HTTP proxy, load balancer, and SSL wrapper. It proxies client HTTPS requests to HTTP backend servers, distributes the requests among several servers while keeping sessions, supports HTTP/1.1 requests even if the backend server(s) are HTTP/1.0, and sanitizes requests.
HAVP (HTTP Anti Virus Proxy) is a proxy which scans downloads for viruses with several scanners (ClamAV, F-Prot, Kaspersky, NOD32, Sophos) at the same time. The main aims are continuous, non-blocking downloads and smooth scanning of dynamic and password protected HTTP traffic. It can be used with squid or standalone, and it also supports transparent proxy mode.
DeleGate is a multi-purpose application level gateway or proxy server that mediates communication of various protocols, applying cache and conversion for mediated data, controlling access from clients, and routing toward servers. It translates protocols between clients and servers, converting between IPv4 and IPv6, applying SSL (TLS) to arbitrary protocols, merging several servers into a single server view with aliasing and filtering. It can be used as a simple origin server for some protocols (HTTP, FTP, and NNTP).
cpt aims to be running in front of any HTTPS server. It forwards all requests that don't call for a "CONNECT .." to the normal HTTPS server. There is no error handling for mistaken requests; they go straight to the default server. A request that doesn't pass the conditions is passed forward too, and the Web server will handle it (with the default error page). Users should be unaware that cpt is running as a proxy.
Shell In A Box implements a Web server that can export arbitrary command line tools to a Web-based terminal emulator. This emulator is accessible to any JavaScript and CSS enabled Web browser, and does not require any additional browser plugins. Most typically, login shells would be exported this way: "shellinaboxd -s /:LOGIN". This starts a Web server at http://localhost:4200 that allows users to log in with their username and password and to get access to their login shell. The connection will be encrypted if SSL/TLS certificates are available.
SOHT (Socket over HTTP Tunneling) allows you to tunnel socket connections through an HTTP proxy. Restrictive firewalls often prohibit all outgoing trafic except for HTTP. This application allows you to tunnel socket connections over the HTTP protocol. This application consists of a server that serves as a proxy and a client which tunnels a socket connection over an HTTP connection to the server. The current server is written in Java, and there are clients in Java and .NET.
A Java component for manipulating PowerPoint presentations.
