AMaViS (A Mail Virus Scanner) scans e-mail attachments for viruses using third-party virus scanners available for UNIX environments. It resides on a UNIX (Linux) machine and looks through the attached files arriving via e-mail, generates reports when a virus is found and sets the delivery on hold.
AnomicFTPD is an RFC959-compliant FTP server with OS- independent user and group management. Active and passive modes, non-root mode, and anonymous and/or read-only modes are supported. A built-in client IP filter acts as a firewall and provides additional access limitation. The server has no online interface; attributes, groups, and user accounts are configured through text files. The protocol/ format-unspecified LIST command produces output that is compatible with most FTP clients, including common Web browsers in FTP mode.
AppGate Security Server is an access control gateway for secure access to resources such as TCP ports, network ranges, Web pages, file shares, and remote desktops. Users connect with the cross-platform AppGate client (or any standard SSH client) and the server has a detailed configuration that says which users gain access to what under which circumstances. AppGate Free Edition is a virtual appliance running in a VMWare image and is limited to a maximum of 10 concurrent users.
Astaro Portscan Detection is a netfilter target which will attempt to detect TCP and UDP port scans and log them to syslog. This target is based upon Solar Designer's scanlogd. It suppports mutliple levels of logging, custom prefixes for entries, weighted total port scan detection, and port scan temporal spread detection.

The Auditor security collection is a live-system based on KNOPPIX. It provides tools for analyzing the security of a system. It features a menu structure that reflects the stages of a security check: foot-printing, analysis, scanning, wireless, brute-forcing, cracking. In addition to about 300 security tools, the collection includes background information regarding standard configuration and passwords, truly extensive word lists, and more mundane productivity tools.
The Bait and Switch Honeypot System combines the snort Intrusion Detection System (IDS) with honeypot technology to create a system that reacts to hostile intrusion attempts by marking and then redirecting all "bad" traffic to a honeypot that partially mirrors your production system. Once switched, the would-be hacker is unknowingly attacking your honeypot instead of the real data, while your clients and/or users are still safely accessing the real system. Life goes on, your data is safe, and you get to learn about the bad guy as an added benefit. It works with Snort 1.9.0, 1.9.1, and 2.0.2.
