netview lets you browse, mount, and unmount SMB shares using any browser, but especially Konqueror or any browser which is also a file manager. It provides actual mounting of shares so you can edit files on them. It addes mounted shares to /etc/fstab automatically so they will be remounted, and manages storage of passwords in a $HOME/.smbpasswd file for later auto-mounting of shares.
RawWrite for Windows is a replacement for the DOS-based rawrite, or rawwrite program (the DOS version does not work well under Win95, and does not work at all from NT). This version is designed to work under NT/2K/XP, and 95/98/ME. It has a simple GUI, which makes it easier for first time users to create their Linux boot disks.
The zisofs filesystem is an extension to the ISO9660 filesystem that allows files, on a file-by-file basis, to be stored compressed and decompressed in real time. The zisofs filesystem is supported by recent versions of Linux (2.4.14 or later). Legacy systems can still read uncompressed files. zisofs-tools contains the tools necessary to create such a compressed ISO9660 filesystem and to read compressed files on a legacy system.
format floppy formats your floppies with different capacities of 1440 kBytes or above. Even floppies with an original size of only 1440 kBytes can be reformatted. Now it is possible to save, and to transport a file whose size would normally be too large. Additionally, format floppy creates a file system of your choice on the floppy. You can choose between FAT-12, FAT-16, FAT-32, ext2, and minix. If you want to use the disk with DOS or Windows, FAT-12 is the best option.
The Enterprise Volume Management System (EVMS) Project has the goal of providing unparalleled flexibility and extensibility in managing storage.
