xlike is a patch collection for the Linux vanilla kernel. It includes as many stable enhancements for the Linux kernel as possible. These include code from Xen, Kernel Mode Linux, Rule Set Based Access Control, Novell AppArmor, Openswan, grsecurity, Linux VServer, Linux-PHC, web100, Nefilters, Suspend2, Speakup, SquashFS, UnionFS, Bootsplash, BadRAM, and more. It also contains many drivers and fixes.
rfsdelta is a kernel module for the Linux 2.6 series that collects all filesystem inode changes (recursively) and reports them to a userspace process. It is similar to inotify, dnotify (but provides recursive notification, and only a single watcher process is allowed), fschange, fsevent, and rlocate (but also reports unlink(), rmdir(), and st_*). rfsdelta was based on the kernel module shipped with rlocate 0.5.5.
movemetafs is a searchable filesystem metadata store for Linux that lets users tag local files (including image, video, audio, and text files) by simply moving the files to a special folder using any file manager. It also lets users find files by tags using a boolean search query. The original files (and their names) are kept intact. movemetafs doesn't have its own user interface, but it is usable with any file manager.
fuse1.pl is a nontrivial demonstration of Fuse.pm, the Perl language interface of FUSE, the Linux userland filesystem. fuse1.pl reflects a subpath of the host filesystem as a mount point of type fuse. Read-only and read-write mounts are both possible. All Unix filesystem operations are supported, except for the handling of POSIX extended attributes. Large files (i.e. files longer than 2GB) are not supported.
fuse.gunzip is a filesystem for FUSE that provides transparent decompression of files. The goal is to expedite reading of files by reducing both file size and fragmentation. fuse.gunzip is not a real filesystem such as ext2 or ext3. fuse.gunzip is a virtual proxy filesystem. Compressed files appear as uncompressed when read by the kernel or processes through fuse.gunzip. Any type of file can be compressed.
UnixExplorer is a file manager structured a bit like Windows. You can browse your filesystem in a tree. It includes individual icons for file types, individual applications for file types, sorting, renaming files and directories, deleting files, creating directories, and full Unix, Linux, and Mac OS compatibility. Planned features include cut/copy/paste, drag and drop, and full Windows compatibility.
Fosfat is a C library for providing read-only access to a Smaky formatted disk. Currently, only a tool and a FUSE extension that use this library can be used for reading a directory and copying a file. Smaky is a system developed in Switzerland at the EPFL (Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne).
libburnia is a project comprised of libraries and binaries for reading, mastering, and writing optical discs. It provides libburn, a CD/DVD/BD burn library, libisofs, a manipulation library for ISO 9660 filesystems, and libisoburn, a ISO 9660 multi-session library. On top of them there is cdrskin, a cdrecord emulator, and xorriso, a all-in-one application for ISO 9660 multi-session operations which additionaly provides a limited emulation of mkisofs.
