BioMAJ (BIOlogie Mises A Jour) is a workflow engine dedicated to data synchronization and processing. It automates the update cycle and the supervision of the locally mirrored data repository. The application is generalist, but was applied in the bioinformatics field for biological data bank management. The packaging includes workflow and indexing post-processing scripts for most used biological data banks. Developed in Java and Ant, the application is compatible with various Unix-based systems.
MiniIM is multi-protocol instant messaging client. It is based on J2ME and thus targets the MIDP2 supported platforms (commonly found in the mobile devices). It is inspired by the popular Pidgin (Gaim) program. The design is concentrated on the protocol level abstraction and an easy way to integrate new protocol implementations. The interface design is unaware of the underlying protocols.
DistribuStream is a fully open peercasting system, allowing on-demand or live streaming media to be delivered at a fraction of the normal cost. Content is distributed using segmented downloading similar to BitTorrent, but provided in-order so it can be displayed on-the-fly as it is being downloaded.
rtGui is a Web-based frontend for the rTorrent commandline BitTorrent client. It can list all torrent downloads or select ones by started/stopped/complete/incomplete/seeding status, sort a view by any of the displayed columns, show detailed torrent information, stop/start/hash-check a torrent, set an upload/download speed cap, add torrents by URL, and set priorities per torrent or file.
BluetoothSender sends files over Bluetooth to paired devices using OBEX Object Push from the command line. It is created to allow automated/scriptable sending of files to Bluetooth devices. This utility is intended for embedding in scripts and has no user friendly graphical interface.
ioAmuleAdunanza is a port of the well-known eMule P2P client to the Italian Fastweb MAN Networks for Infodomestic Objects (Linux/BSD) with an intuitive interface. It is built with SpatialBundle technology, so it does not require installation nor any administrator privilege access.
