DistribuStream is a fully open peercasting system, allowing on-demand or live streaming media to be delivered at a fraction of the normal cost. Content is distributed using segmented downloading similar to BitTorrent, but provided in-order so it can be displayed on-the-fly as it is being downloaded.
Enterprise File Exchange (EFX) slots in where email file attachment size limits stop your users from sending files to another person. In the EFX system, the user visits the EFX site, uploads the file, enters the receiver's email address, and lets the system notify the receiver that there's a file waiting for them via a simple email message. The receiver then either simply clicks on the download link provided in the email message or visits the site to download it from there.
Event Horizon (EVH) is a Web-based application which facilitates the secure transfer of files. Originally designed to replace FTP transfers, EVH currently allows uploads via HTTP and can also handle files uploaded via FTP. All file uploads are assigned an expiration period, after which the file is permanently removed from the system. This allows for automatic cleanup as well, keeping the underlying filesystem in tip-top shape.
FileZ is a Web application intended to provide a way to upload and manage large files that you want to share. It allows you to upload files through an upload form for a defined period of download. Then you will be able to give a dedicated and crypted URL to your coworkers or friends to allow them to download your file during that period. FileZ supports a MySQL/LDAP/SSO-CAS authentication system for the uploaders. Downloaders are not authenticated but logged. FileZ has an admin backend to manage quotas, allowed disk space, and uploader's files.
Flush is a GTK+ BitTorrent client. It allows you to run many instances with different configurations for the same user, to create your own torrent files, and to set a custom download path for each file of the torrent. It also allows you to control a running instance from a command line interface: start/stop torrents, change download/upload rate limits, and change the maximum connections limit. Finished downloads can be automatically copied to a specified directory, and old torrents can be automatically removed.
Kangee is a personal on-demand fileserver that makes it possible to send files to your friends. Dragging a file into the Kangee window will generate a link, which can be sent to your friend, who may open it in a Web browser and download the file. It also supports an "Add Upload" feature, which generates a link that lets your friends send files to you. It uses UPnP, STUN, and a connection test Web service to set up incoming connections, and can generate QR codes from the links to uploads and downloads.
Lanshark is a file sharing tool for local area networks. It allows you to share files with other users in the same network more efficiently. It automatically detects other lanshark users in the same network and lets you browse through their shares. It has a very fast search function that allows you to search through all the shares in the network in a few seconds.
Lince is a light and full featured BitTorrent client. The graphic interface has been designed to resemble the old Azureus, and is simple but powerful and gives the user all of the information in an easy and intuitive way. It is configurable and efficient, using as few resources as necessary.
