RabbitMQ is an implementation of AMQP, the emerging standard for high performance enterprise messaging. The RabbitMQ server is based on a proven platform, Erlang/OTP, offering exceptionally high reliability, availability, and scalability. It delivers good throughput and latency performance that is predictable and consistent. The code base is compact and easily maintainable, facilitating rapid customization and hot deployment. The RabbitMQ distribution also includes a Java client that interoperates with any compliant AMQP server.

Serlvers is a set of Erlang modules designed to help in the implementation of IP services (i.e. TCP/IP or Internet servers). Serlvers consists of a set of behaviours to abstract the internals of each protocol, and other modules to help with the infrastructure. The goal is that when making a server, you only need worry about how to store, handle, process, etc. the information instead of the internals of each protocol (to save countless hours of RFC reading).

Surrogate is an HTTP proxy functioning in both forward and reverse proxy modes. It is written in Erlang OTP and uses stream filters for inspecting and modifying data as it passes through the proxy. Additional stream filters can be implemented by writing modules that implement the filter_stream behavior. Reverse proxy features include load balancing. Additional balancer methods can be specified by implementing modules with the gen_balancer behavior. Forward proxy features include gzip compression to end servers, CONNECT support, and an HTTP proxy with authentication that can use MySQL or Mnesia backends. There is also a SOCKS 4/5 proxy listener.

Tsung is a distributed load testing tool. It is protocol-independent and can currently be used to stress HTTP, WebDAV, PostgreSQL, MySQL, LDAP, AMQP, and XMPP/Jabber servers. It simulates user behavior using an XML description file, reports many measurements in real time (statistics can be customized with transactions, and graphics generated using gnuplot). For HTTP, it supports 1.0 and 1.1, has a proxy mode to record sessions, supports GET, POST, PUT, and DELETE methods, cookies, and basic/digest authentication. It also has support for SSL, WebSocket, and BOSH.

VoltDB is a blazingly fast relational database system. It is specifically designed to run on modern scale-out architectures: fast, inexpensive servers connected via high-speed data networks. It is aimed at a new generation of database applications - real-time feeds, sensor-driven data streams, micro-transactions, low-latency trading systems - requiring database throughput that can reach millions of operations per second. What’s more, the applications that use this data must scale on demand, provide flawless fault tolerance, and enable real-time visibility into the data that drives business value. It includes client application drivers for applications written in Java, C++, C#, PHP, and Python. VoltDB community members have also authored client libraries for Erlang, Ruby and Node.js. There are streaming export capabilities for leading analytic database environments, including Apache Hadoop.

YXA is a SIP stack and a set of SIP server applications written in Erlang/OTP. The SIP stack is RFC3261 compliant. Among the features implemented are SIP registrar, SIP router, forking, CPL, IPv6, TLS, ENUM, PSTN gateway access control and modular user database backends. The main goal of the project is to create a robust SIP server platform that can scale to tens of thousands of users, be interoperable through standards compliance, and still have short time-to-market for new features due to the use of a high level language.
