Zentyal (formerly eBox Platform) is a small business server that offers small and medium businesses an affordable and easy-to-use enterprise-level computer network. It can act as a Gateway, Infrastructure Manager, Unified Threat Manager, Office Server, Unified Communication Server, or a combination of these.
DSSH was written as a direct replacement for the OpenSSH client. It adds SSH over SSH tunneling capabilities (for example, to log in to a network hidden by a firewall), scripting support (using BeanShell), an advanced agent (which allows storing of passwords) and "su -" interactive logging for machines that have disabled direct root login. All of this was done to enable automated scripting and logging to many machines based on a few simple rules.
Hotwire is an integrated inventory system and a rapid deployment tool targeted at servicing enterprise environments. The currently supported rapid deployment technologies are Kickstart (Red Hat Linux), AutoYaST (SuSE Linux), and Preseed (Debian GNU/Linux). The hotwire server itself can be installed on any Linux platform, however. Additionally, where client machines have the python-dmidecode, func, and certmaster packages installed, hotwire is able to provide an automated inventory maintenance and dynamic updates, via funcwire, a hotwire tool.
