Graidle (Graph aid) is a Web application for creating charts. It can be used to generate several types of graphical diagrams. It has classes specialized in generating histograms (also horizontal), spider graphs, pie charts, and line (also filled) charts. Several visual aspects may be customized, such as colors, font dimensions, labels, and axes. The diagrams are generated as true color images using PHP and GD library functions, and can be displayed as the current script output or saved to a file in the PNG format.
Vocatra is a console-based vocabulary trainer. It takes one or more vocabulary files, queries you for each word, and lets you try to give the correct answer. You can enable different learning modes. If you prefer to learn sequentially it has an order mode. Otherwise, there is also a random mode available.
Gregorian calendar 1582 is a small Python script to generate calendars for any year in the history greater or equal to one. The output format is the same as the Unix "cal" command. However, it supposes the Gregorian Reformation took place on October 4th, 1582, in contrast to the cal, which supposes the reformation took place on September 3rd, 1752.
Coursor is a Web-based academic course system for assigning students to university courses. It has an evolutionary algorithm for assigning students to the courses they requested. This algorithm tries to find an optimal distribution of students to existing courses while taking their preferences into account. The system supports multiple roles for users: Admin, Student, Teacher/Prof, or Tutor. A user can also have multiple roles. It supports international localization, currently in English, German, French, Russian, and Arabic.
WoPeD (Workflow Petri Net Designer) is an easy-to-use software tool for modeling, simulating, and analyzing workflow process and resource descriptions using workflow nets, an extended class of Petri nets initially introduced by Wil van der Aalst (TU Eindhoven). WoPeD is mainly intended to be used by researchers, teaching staff, or students dealing with the application of Petri nets to the area of workflow or business process management.
The ZDT (Zhongwen Development Tool) is a program written to help users study Mandarin Chinese. Users can create their own word lists and quiz themselves using three different flashcard modes. There is also a dictionary that can be used to search through the built in CEDICT (and optional Adso) databases. Users can input Chinese characters and get the associated pinyin and English definitions through the Annotation function. This makes it convenient to read blocks of Chinese text. The program is built on top of the Eclipse RCP platform, which allows it to be extendable through its plugin architecture. It runs on Linux, OS X, and Windows platforms.
