KProbe is an Asus notebook monitor for KDE. It is like the Asus PCProbe software for Windows, but with more options and tuning. It allows you to set the monitor brightness and CPU speed on the fly. It can check KMail via the DCOP interface to check if there are unread messages and enable the notebook's mail LED. It shows a graph and statistics about temperature. It has support for i18n, and English and Italian translations are available.
Scalar is an addictive puzzle game where the goal is to assemble a picture from pieces. Each picture is divided into pieces that are shuffled and must be moved back to their original positions, which is accomplished by swapping them. Players can perform a limited number of swaps. The game is over when three images have been completed, and points are given for each swap left and various bonuses. Additional pictures can be added to images directory, and a range of formats are supported.
