It inserts JSON documents in bulk mode for best performance, and stores messages in memory before connecting to a database. A timer periodically triggers an insertion to avoid keeping data in memory for too long.

stdin2news is a simple script that posts imput from STDIN to a news server. It is easily configurable, doesn't require any external programs, and can be used in batch jobs. Unlike rnews it does not require a msgid to be provided, as it presumes it will be generated by the news server.
