Multicrush is a wrapper around pngcrush that distributes the work of brute-force compressing a single image over several pngcrush processes. This gets you a slightly less than a linear speedup, caused by different compression methods having slightly different durations. For example, the author has measured a speedup of 1.92 on a 2-core Intel T5300, and 3.86 on a 4-core Intel Q6600. The only requirements are a copy of pngcrush and at least Python 2.4. If you have version 2.6 or higher, multicrush can automatically detect how many CPUs to use.
FinMetrics is a MATLAB-based quantitative portfolio management environment. Built on concepts of bottom-up approach to application design, it allows users to define most basic, low level building blocks, e.g. assets and transactions, to be further pieced together in higher level objects, e.g. positions or portfolios. Data analysis and statistics functions, implemented within the environment and native to MATLAB, enable users to conduct scenario analysis, stress testing, performance measurement and attribution, risk measurement and attribution, design hedge strategies, etc. The open architecture of the environment allows users to work with objects of any level, depending on their requirements and expertise. The object structure and data types are specifically designed to make integration with MATLAB and native FinMetrics functions as easy as possible. The FinMetrics user interface application and MATLAB scripting may be utilized to facilitate or automate complex and repetitive tasks, as well as extend the functionality of the environment.
WikiPBX is a PBX Web interface for FreeSWITCH. Multiple "accounts" are supported per server instance: each account is effectively a completely independent PBX. Configuration is layered so that XML files go on top of what is stored in the database. This allows you to use a database, but stays out of your way if you choose to use flat files. Extensions, SIP endpoints, and gateways can be configured via a Web interface. Live calls can be viewed, hanged up, and transferred. Call history (CDR records) can be viewed over the Web interface. There is a Web interface for managing IVRs. "Sound clips" can be easily recorded for use in dialplan or IVRs. Audio or text-to-speech can be injected into live calls.
MoCo is a system that monitors and controls SCADA points, such as temperature, HVAC, power, lighting, sprinkler systems, and more. It has industrial capabilities, but is scalable from very small home systems to enterprise, world-wide ones. It works with inexpensive I/O bridges (including X10, Insteon, and 1-wire) from a number of manufacturers. It has sophisticated history logging and diverse control capabilities, as well as a 117-page implementation manual.
siqqel is a simple and lightweight framework which allows you to execute MySQL queries directly from your browser (by transforming them into JSON calls to a backend script), displaying the results of your queries within the structure of the calling HTML document. To issue a query and have its results displayed in a table of your HTML document, you simply put an SQL statement into the "sql" attribute of a <table> element and it will be executed when you open the HTML document in your browser. Your browser will wrap the SQL statement into a JSON call, and this call will be issued to a backend script on your server, which in turn issues the statement against your database server and returns the result set back to your browser. Your browser will display the result set in the according table. If you hover your mouse over the table, a "reload" icon will be displayed, allowing you to re-issue the SQL statement without the need to reload the whole page.
sphlib provides optimized implementations in both C and Java of cryptographic hash functions. The C code includes "small footprint" variants optimized for architectures with low L1 cache (e.g. WiFi routers running OpenWRT). The C code comes with a command-line tool that can serve as a drop-in replacement for md5sum, sha1sum, sha256sum, etc. for all implemented hash functions. The Java code is compatible with J2ME. There are implementations of fourteen "second-round" SHA-3 candidates, for all output lengths: BLAKE, Blue Midnight Wish, CubeHash, ECHO, Fugue, Grøstl, Hamsi, JH, Keccak, Luffa, Shabal, SHAvite-3, SIMD, and Skein. Some pre-SHA-3 hash functions (including MD4, MD5, SHA-1, SHA-224, SHA-256, SHA-384, SHA-512, RIPEMD-160, and others) are also implemented.
