SynApp2 is a development tool that generates database-backed Web applications by processing your MySQL or Oracle schema definition and producing the Web pages used to manage your data. It does more than an admin tool or file manager by considering table relations as a cohesive whole that drives the generation of a complete application that smoothly integrates your entire database design, complete with PDF reports. It is open, compact, efficient, and compatible with the tools and technologies you’re using now.
OpenClass is a simple solution for class control. It provides multicast screen projection (sending the teacher's screen to all of the students), student attention requests (blocking student activities and asking them to look at teacher), viewing of all student screens at once, direct messaging to students, file and URL sharing, computer shutdown, access control for specific classes, and support for multi-seat configurations and multiple clients per machine. For students it provides automatic teacher discovery via broadcast, "raise hand" functionality, and automatic handling of network saturation and disconnection events.
Asymptopia Crossword Builder (Math/Text) is an application that runs in any modern Web browser, but does not require an Internet connection (if it is installed locally). The application was designed to allow teachers to quickly produce well-designed, challenging activities. The application features a configuration panel where the user can either enter their own word-hint pairs, or generate math-crossword problems via a single button. The math functionality generates word:hint pairs like: "four:7/x-3/8=11/8", where the hint corresponds to the problem, and the student would write the letters "four" in the corresponding boxes of the puzzle.

Seismic Toolkit is a tool for processing and displaying seismic signal data in a graphical interface. It reads seismic signals in SAC format, and provides a variety of signal processing, such as filtering, spectral analysis, polarisation analysis, time-frequency representation, Hilbert transform, and singular value decomposition. Some utilities are included for useful seismological applications, like computation of Seismic Moment Mo, Mantle magnitude Mm and Moment magnitude Mw, MTPA spectral analysis, plotting focal mechanisms, computation (and plotting) of instrumental response from poles and zeros, and some usefull GMT (Generic Mapping Tool) scripts for plotting signals, responses, and time-frequency in Postscript files for high quality prints.
GCompris is an educational software suite with numerous activities for children aged 2 to 10. Some of the activities are game-orientated, but nonetheless still educational. These include computer discovery (keyboard, mouse, different mouse gestures), algebra (table memory, enumeration, double entry table, mirror image), science (the canal lock, the water cycle, the submarine, electric simulation), geography (place the country on the map), games (chess, memory, connect 4, oware, sudoku), reading practice, and others (learn to tell time, puzzles of famous paintings, vector drawing, cartoon making, etc.). It currently offers in excess of 100 activities, and more are being developed.
Graidle (Graph aid) is a Web application for creating charts. It can be used to generate several types of graphical diagrams. It has classes specialized in generating histograms (also horizontal), spider graphs, pie charts, and line (also filled) charts. Several visual aspects may be customized, such as colors, font dimensions, labels, and axes. The diagrams are generated as true color images using PHP and GD library functions, and can be displayed as the current script output or saved to a file in the PNG format.
