Dandelion is a 3D graph rendering application which can be controlled across a network. Its main purpose is to allow clear network graphs to be rendered in a window, which can be controlled by a separate application or the user. The Dandelion visualization is actually controlled by issuing simple commands to it across the network (although this could all be happening on a single machine). The Dandelion source includes a set of very simple libraries which can be incorporated into other applications and which can be used to send these commands. Libraries are included for C, C#, Java, and Python. The project was developed at Liverpool John Moores University within the PROTECT Centre.
Window listener is a simple application that observes the windows that are active on your computer and records the time spent on each window. This lets you see how much time was spent on any given task, such as writing an email, reviewing a document, or editing a picture. Please note that the application also records key presses with the intention of using this data in the future to categorize tasks. The recorded tasks can be merged in case multiple windows of the same process are used to accomplish something. Tasks can also be deleted. The tasks are remembered when the program is closed.
AutoWallpaper is a cross-platform desktop wallpaper changing utility. It automatically (or manually) changes the desktop wallpaper at a specified time interval set by the user. It runs in the background with a system tray icon that is visible when the application is running. It is written in Visual C# .NET 2008 (Windows versions) and Qt 4.4.3/4.5.0 (Linux/others).
Zyan Drench is a simple yet very entertaining game developed using the Zyan Communication Framework. The Game board is a random picture of size 15x15. Start from the top-left corner of the board. Select a new color for the top-left pixel, and all adjacent pixels of the same color will be painted over with the new color. The goal is to drench the whole board with your own color. Zyan Drench has several modes: play against Android phone (with adjustable skill level), play solo (classic single-player mode), and network game. It is completely ad-free and open source.
