SMTPUtils is a tool to secure mail servers, through testing or analysis, which provides the service manager or staff of computer security a summary of its implementation. It currently supports: resolution by MX record, checking for open relays, testing the perimeter antivirus system, testing the anti-spam system, performance testing, obtaining information, checking for DNSBL, SPF greylisting autodetection, and ping support.
Mediabird allows students to document and review their study effort using a collaborative notepad. The Web2.0 application allows for taking notes on a personal notepad. A virtual text marker allows the students to highlight their notes and ask questions about the highlighted parts. The sharing feature allows study groups to share and discuss their notes as well as questions they have created. By-and-by, the students collect answers to the questions. Pairs of questions and answers are collected in a card box that allows for memorizing the important facts later on (e.g. for an exam or presentation). The program is also available as a Moodle activity.

MonoDecrypt uses pattern matching and its knowledge about character frequencies in order to decrypt messages encoded with a monoalphabetic substitution cipher. MonoDecrypt can decrypt texts of any language, as long as it has sufficient information about the language. Depending on the information you give it, the tool decrypts about 50%-100% on its own. Then you can decrypt the remaining data by filling the gaps or correcting bad guesses. MonoDecrypt can also encrypt texts using monoalphabetic substitution.

GaussianBeam is a Gaussian optics simulator. It features table-top display of the optical setup. It computes the beam parameters. You can move optics with the mouse. Available optics: lenses, flat and curved interfaces, mirrors, dielectric slab, and generic ABCD. Magic waist function: given a target waist, GaussianBeam finds the suitable arrangement of lenses. Fit waist function: measure the beam radius or diameter to define the input beam. The ability to save and load configurations.
FAVS is an engine for setting up a Web site that allows teachers to display content from their pupils' blogs at their Web sites, and lets the students vote the best posts and check the results, with just one simple HTML tag. After signing up, the engine gives a teacher an HTML tag that can be placed at the teacher's blog or Web site. The students will be able to join the teacher's FAVS and, from then on, their posts will appear at the teacher's site.

ERDexpert is a interface to an Erlang expert assertion engine. ERDialog is an application framework using Yaws. Multiple applets can be loaded into the framework. The existing applets include a file launcher, mpd audio interface, and wiki. This is the full release and only needs Erlang and Yaws installed.
