FileZ is a Web application intended to provide a way to upload and manage large files that you want to share. It allows you to upload files through an upload form for a defined period of download. Then you will be able to give a dedicated and crypted URL to your coworkers or friends to allow them to download your file during that period. FileZ supports a MySQL/LDAP/SSO-CAS authentication system for the uploaders. Downloaders are not authenticated but logged. FileZ has an admin backend to manage quotas, allowed disk space, and uploader's files.

Flush is a GTK+ BitTorrent client. It allows you to run many instances with different configurations for the same user, to create your own torrent files, and to set a custom download path for each file of the torrent. It also allows you to control a running instance from a command line interface: start/stop torrents, change download/upload rate limits, and change the maximum connections limit. Finished downloads can be automatically copied to a specified directory, and old torrents can be automatically removed.
Kangee is a personal on-demand fileserver that makes it possible to send files to your friends. Dragging a file into the Kangee window will generate a link, which can be sent to your friend, who may open it in a Web browser and download the file. PerlShare is a DropBox drop-in to create your own private file sharing "cloud". It consists of two parts; a client and a server. The workhorse for synchronization is Unison, a very reliable piece of software from Pascal Bach.
