superseriousstats is a small and efficient program for creating a Web page with statistics from various types of IRC logs. It keeps track of its parse history and only processes new activity before storing any accumulated data in a SQLite or MySQL database. It is suitable for high volume IRC channels and large log archives, and is relatively easy to integrate with IRC services (e.g. bots) that interact with the database and provide last seen information and many other statistics directly in your channel.
xstatbar is a minimal system stats viewer for X11. It shows stats for CPU usage (with support for multi-core processors), memory usage, the number of processes, battery usage, volume, and time. It displays as a small, horizontal bar that integrates nicely with tiling window managers.
The TI-BASIC Compiler allows you to write TI-BASIC programs for the Texas Instruments TI-83 and TI-84+ calculators using your computer instead of the calculator's keyboard. This allows you to spend more time writing code than navigating menus or trying to scroll around the tiny screen on the calculator.
Bitcoinproof creates a forgery-proof timestamp for your data, secured by the Bitcoin network. It allows you to prove that a certain event happened before a certain point in time. Maybe you want to prove that the damage in your flat already existed when you moved in, or that you were in possession of a great artwork before it was published, proving you are the author.
Shasplit takes a large data block, splits it into smaller parts, and puts those parts into an SHA-based content-addressed store. Reassembling those parts is a trivial "cat" invocation. Repeating parts (e.g., from previous split operations) are stored only once, which allows efficient incremental backups of whole LVM snapshots via Rsync. Shasplit shows its strengths on encrypted block devices, but might be useful for non-encrypted data, too.
wwan-helper is a script that establishes a UMTS connection using a Ericsson F3507g Mobile Broadband Module. It was designed to be used with a ThinkPad T420s. It takes care of resetting and reinitializing the modem if the hardware fails to get a WWAN connection, and retries as often as necessary until the UMTS connection is really established. It is meant to run as a hook script for the ifup / ifdown mechanism, but should also work on other networking systems.
