The OpenCA Project is a collaborative effort to develop a robust, full-featured and Open Source out-of-the-box Certification Authority implementing the most used protocols with full-strength cryptography world-wide. OpenCA is based on many Open-Source Projects. Among the supported software is OpenLDAP, OpenSSL, Apache Project, Apache mod_ssl.
OraRep is a PL/SQL snippet (embedded in a shell script) which creates a well-formatted HTML report on a given database instance, providing you with an overview on your instance(s), some hints for performance tuning, and more. It has been tested with Oracle 8.1.7, 9.0.1, and 9.2. The script easily fits into a cron task to be run on a regular basis. Sample output (HTML) is included. OSPRep does the same job for Oracle StatsPack Reports based on SnapShot Levels up to 7, and provides additional "plugins" for more detailed reporting on special issues. It also optionally creates a separate page with charts to visualize the results and more.
DBAHelper is a collection of scripts to ease the daily maintenance work of Oracle database administrators. Examples are moving objects between tablespaces, analyzing schemata, and rebuilding invalid indices. Also included is a little framework to simplify the use of RMAN (this framework depends on the use of Oracle 10g with the Recovery Area enabled and properly sized, so all backups go there).
NetOculus is a network monitoring system that provides all the functions of the well-known monitoring system MRTG. It also has a number of its own benefits. It can automatically monitor any kind of detectable alteration in a computer network (and in relatively separated network areas). It can efficiently notify staff about hardware state changes. Analytical information is aggregated. Specific pieces of hardware are associated with the staff members who responsible for them. The solutions for solved problems are reported to the staff for further use.
PhpCompta is an accounting application. It is Web based and follows Belgian and French accountancy systems, but can be adapted to others. This application is able to handle the accounting for several small and medium-sized companies, and can create invoices or reports with OASIS or RTF templates. It can also manage analytic accountancy and follow-up of customers and suppliers. A plugin system is provided.
DemoWave is a Web application for conducting referendums that allows anyone to propose a new referendum, minimizes the negative effects of people "spamming" the system with bogus referendums, and makes referendums where people disagree a lot take longer to go through. In addition, it can manage a set of laws and referendums on changes to those laws. DemoWave is intended for democratic organizations that need to decrease the bureaucratic load and increase the participation of their members in the decision-making process.
Invenio (formerly CDSware) is a suite of applications that provides the framework and tools for building and managing an autonomous digital library server. It complies with the Open Archives Initiative metadata harvesting protocol (OAI-PMH) and uses MARC 21 as its underlying bibliographic standard. Its flexibility and performance make it a comprehensive solution for the management of document repositories of moderate to large size.
