WebAbility is an advanced Web development platform that contains WebFlow, a content management system (CMS), a security advanced system (SAS), a powerful workflow engine, and Web site wrappers. It supports multiple database connections, multiple languages, multiple presentation templates, page, script, and library versioning, XML and Web Services integration, and advanced security management. It uses plugins to extend the software for tasks such as e-commerce, portals, intranets, and editorial systems.
Passwd_exp notifies users via email of upcoming password or account expiration. Its simple modular architecture allows you to perform expiration checks on any data source you use (SQL databases, LDAP...), send expiration warnings only to desired users or group and on selected days only. Administrators can use it to review expired accounts in the system. Support for Linux and Solaris shadow (including LDAP and NIS systems) and BSD passwd systems is included.
Awesum is a graphical checksum verification utility. It is very easy to use and includes support for both MD5 and SHA checksum algorithms. Unlike many checksum verification utilities, it features a progress bar that makes working with large files (such as CD-ROM ISO images) much more bearable.
nexB OpenAssets is a tool for inventorying, managing, and monitoring applications, software, hardware, networks, and generally any IT asset. It is designed so that system administrators, IT, and finance can determine what they have, how it is configured, what it is used for, and how much it is being used, so that informed decisions can be made. It complements existing network management software, integrates with a growing number of protocols and tools, and features no-agent discovery and inventory, configuration management including dependencies and correlation, monitoring, and reporting. It makes extensive and innovative use of XML, Xpath, and Xquery.
Secure Back Door (SBD) is a tool that provides ultra-secure and minimal access to a computer, which allows you to run a single command based on a one time key. It is good if you don't want to have an SSH server running all the time, and only want to start it when needed. Because it is written in only a few lines of code, it is hoped that it will be less susceptible to security exploits than a program like SSH.
Stealth (SSH-based Trust Enhancement Acquired through a Locally Trusted Host) is a file integrity scanner. It differs from a program like Tripwire in that it does not require the use of read-only media or modifiable logs. It leaves (almost) no trace on the computer being checked. It is very difficult for intruders to detect or evade, and cannot be modified by intruders. It can be used to perform integrity checks on many computers without a heavy maintenance burden. It can be used without being installed on the target computer.
