JExpress is a Java installer builder and auto-updater. It gives you your choice of a standalone installer, including both native and cross platform installers and updaters for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, and Solaris, or a Java Web Start one-click install. You create your installer quickly with your choice of a simple wizard or a powerful advanced interface, both included. You can bundle the exact JVM you want with your installer. The auto-updater gives you a continuous revenue stream after the sale. Your software is always up-to-date, so your customers have fewer problems. OraRep is a PL/SQL snippet (embedded in a shell script) which creates a well-formatted HTML report on a given database instance, providing you with an overview on your instance(s), some hints for performance tuning, and more. It has been tested with Oracle 8.1.7, 9.0.1, and 9.2. The script easily fits into a cron task to be run on a regular basis. Sample output (HTML) is included. OSPRep does the same job for Oracle StatsPack Reports based on SnapShot Levels up to 7, and provides additional "plugins" for more detailed reporting on special issues. It also optionally creates a separate page with charts to visualize the results and more.

QTPov Editor is a Povray SDL editor. It features syntax coloration, bracket highlighting (including), automatic and manual tabulation system, a completion system (with both keywords and declarations/macros), declarations and macros listings, included files parsing (to get declarations and macros), a .ini editor, a .ini profile assistant, and scene rendering via .ini files. It also includes QTPE Scene Packager, a tool designed to retrive any file used in Povray scene, starting from a .ini or a .pov file. It creates a copy of the scene and replaces all file inclusions so that the scene can be rendered on an other system without having to worry about libraries or fonts.

Ingres is a feature rich and robust database (RDBMS) that's free to use, modify, and redistribute. Support is available for a reasonable price if you need it. Ingres supports many programming languages, including Python, Ruby, Java, Perl, C/C++, and more. Ingres has a bit of a learning curve, but once mastered is extremely powerful and highly tunable. It is also very stable and reliable. Ingres is one of a fairly small number of databases providing excellent geospatial features including data types and functions compliant with the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) Simple Feature Specification (SFS) for SQL.

OpenSMART is a monitoring (and reporting) environment for servers and applications in a network. Its main features are a nice Web front end, monitored servers requiring only a Perl installation, XML configuration, and good documentation. It is easy to write more checks. Supported platforms are Linux, HP/UX, Solaris, AIX, *BSD, and Windows (only as a client).
