Kahua is a continuation passing style (CPS) application framework and server. It is written using the Gauche implementation of Scheme. It has the advantage that you can use "continuations" easily, so you can solve the typical Web application's problem of process disconnection. It allows you to program declaratively by using S-expressions as a fundamental data type, you can use Kahua's Object Database to persist data, and you can modify the function being run, supporting incremental development.
TwistedWave is a very easy-to-use and powerful audio editor. It supports Audio Unit plug-ins and many file formats, including wav, aiff, caf, mp3, mp4, FLAC, and Ogg Vorbis. It has good multichannel support, so you can apply Audio Units to a selection of channels. It supports unlimited undo and redo, which work instantly. Zooming in and moving around the waveform is very fast, even with very large files. All the effects are applied in the background, saving a lot of time.
Libchop is a set of utilities and library for data backup and distributed storage. Its main application is chop-backup, an encrypted backup program that supports data integrity checks, versioning at little cost, distribution among several sites, selective sharing of stored data, adaptive compression, and more. The library itself, which chop-backup builds upon, implements storage techniques such as content-based addressing, content hash keys, Merkle trees, similarity detection, and lossless compression. It makes it easy to combine them in different ways. The ‘chop-archiver’ and ‘chop-block-server’ tools, illustrated in the manual, provide direct access to these facilities from the command line. It is written in C and has Guile (Scheme) bindings.
