LibRaw is a library for reading RAW files obtained from digital photo cameras (CRW/CR2, NEF, RAF, DNG, and others). LibRaw is based on the source codes of the dcraw utility, though some of the drawbacks of dcraw have been eliminated. The users of the library are provided with an API to be used when writing their software programs.
white_dune is a graphical VRML97/X3DV editor, simple NURBS/Superformula 3D modeller, animation tool, and VRML97/X3DV commandline compiler in development. VRML97 (Virtual Reality Modeling Language) is the ISO standard for displaying 3D data over the Web via browser plugins ("HTML for realtime 3D"). X3DV is the direct successor of VRML97. VRML97 and X3DV have support for animation, real-time interaction, and multimedia (images, movies, and sounds). white_dune can read, create, and display VRML97/X3DV files and let the user change the scenegraph/fields. It also has support for stereoscopic view via "quadbuffer"-capable stereo visuals, and support for 3D input devices like a joystick, spaceball, or magnetic tracker.
EZ Reusable Objects (EZRO) is a Web application that can be used by non-technical staff to manage content as "objects." Content objects containing text, video, and audio can be shared, modified, and re-styled to appear via a traditional Web site, an on-line course, an innovative "Coach," or as a community of interest site. It is highly scalable and can be used for public Web sites, secure environments, and private intra/extranets.
Motorsport is a project with a clear goal: to create the most realistic vehicle simulation possible. This includes cars and trucks, which can be driven using common input devices such as keyboards and steering wheels. It limits realism to what the hardware, and is intended for hardcore driving simulator fans. This means that it will try to have realistic physics, but not necessarily 'playable', 'easy', or 'fun' physics - these characteristics will depend on which vehicle is driven and on what a person is trying to drive it.
The XMMS Picture Viewer Input Plugin adds picture support to XMMS for various image formats. The picture is displayed for a (configurable) time. In conjunction with XMMS playlists, this makes it possible to create slideshows very easily, e.g. opening a directory that contains picture files directly starts the slideshow.
Rounded border styles are being introduced with the CSS 3 standard. However, this version of CSS is not yet being supported by most of the current browsers in use. PhpMyBorder provides an alternative solution that uses images or pure CSS2 to render rounded borders of configurable size and presentation style. Dynamic generation of border images is usually a heavy task, especially for busy sites. This class employs caching to reduce the border image generation overhead.
The Photomaniac Media Library is a media management solution for digital photographers who have to manage large amounts of digital media. Its strength is its native support for RAW images, version control, team functionality, speed, cross-platform compatibility, and cost efficiency.
JSculpt is a script-based 3D constructive solid geometry modeling system featuring a realtime parser and the ability to preview in a rich GUI. JSculpt currently supports JavaScript as a modeling language. It features integration with major open source rendering systems such as POVRay and Yafray. Mesh export to blender or other modeling software is also possible.
