ZDoom is an enhanced port of the official DOOM source. It features support for all Hexen editing features (including ACS, hubs, etc.), support for most BOOM editing features, freelook, jumping, and translucency support, a Quake-style console, high screen resolutions, removal of the original DOOM's limits, support for many more music formats (including MOD, IT, XM, S3M, MIDI, MP3, and MUS), better mouse support, UDP networking, and more.
Quake 2 Map Info is a command line utility that parses a Quake 2 map file and reports how many entities and textures are being used. It is useful for spotting extra items to improve gameplay balance and/or reducing extra textures to increase map speed. Most map editors do not provide a detailed breakdown of what is inside a map. It is compatible with any Quake 2 (ID Tech 2) game engine if the map file format has not be altered. If a game has a different map format, you can modify the source code to reflect the new format.
Q3utX Master Browser is an efficient Urban Terror game servers browser. It interrogates a "Master Browser" and retrieves all servers notified, then shows all info about game servers through an Ajax loader. It shows the server game name and type, IP address and port, server engine, current map name, number of users, and current players. It can filter based on game type.

It is designed to take advantage of the beautiful environments available from the Torque engine it is based on, while still offering the breakneck pacing and variety of styles available from such classics as Quake and Tribes. Warsow is a standalone, eSports-oriented FPS game. It is based on Qfusion, an advanced modification of the Quake 2 engine. It features fast-paced gameplay focused on trix (trick jumps) and art of movement. War§ow features a complete power-up system, including weak and strong fire mode for each weapon in all "normal" gametypes as well as Warshell (battle shield) and Warshock (quad damage) for team-based gametypes. Its cartoonish graphics use cel shading with a style that is similar but not identical to Manga.

Nexuiz is built on the power of the Darkplaces engine, which is a heavily modified version of the original Quake. YAWn! Linux is a client for the YAWn! service, which keeps track of the names used by players of "Return to Castle Wolfenstein". Players are tracked by their unique PunkBuster GUID, and thus players cannot hide behind a fake name to play recklessly or purposely misbehave. YAWn! adds a console command to "Return to Castle Wolfenstein" that lists all players like PunkBuster does. However, this command also displays the other names that the player has used before, or (for players that use YAWn! themselves) the name and taunt-message that the player chose at registration.
