The EESST package implements a common format for Email Exchange of Secondary School Transcripts. MIME and OpenPGP email standards are applied to enable secure communication of academic transcripts directly from each student to his or her chosen recipients without intervention or monitoring by any third-parties. Because transcripts are digitally signed by the originating school official, transcript recipients can independently verify that transcripts received directly from students have not been altered in transit.
MorseCodr is a program for practising Morse code communication. You can connect to other users and send Morse signals that are automatically interpreted by the program. Once you become more proficient, you can reduce the amount of display and interpretation provided. It features Morse code tape display, dot/dash colouring, letter interpretation, and adjustable speed.
Lernstick Exam Environment is a live Linux distribution with a focus on exam situations, usually installed on USB sticks. To provide up-to-date software choice on a solid base, it uses a combination of Debian stable with official and custom backports. Access to local storage media (internal hard drive, other USB storage media) or network access is prohibited per default, but certain network connections (e.g., to network printers or websites) can be allowed in a whitelist.
Organic Photovoltaic Device Model is a 1D Schottky-Read-Hall based drift diffusion model specifically designed to model organic photovoltaic (OPV) devices. It can describe non-geminate recombination via two mechanisms: free-to-trap processes via an exponential tail of trap states, and free-to-free carrier processes. The model solves the drift diffusion equations for electrons and holes, Poisson's equation to calculate the potential distribution in position space, and the Schottky-Read-Hall capture escape equations for a discretized set of energy levels. The model has been used to generate a number of publications. It can simulate the following experiments often used to characterize OPV devices: JV curves (Light/Dark), Charge extraction data (Light/Dark), and Steady state recombination data (Light/Dark).
QMentat helps you practice mental arithmetic. It uses arbitrary-length fixed point arithmetic, and can handle any size numbers, only limited by the size of your screen (and in the case of division with an integer result, the speed at which the number can be factored). It is also quite configurable, allowing you to tailor the questions to your needs.
Klen-library is a program for creating electronic books. It consists of three modules, for editing books, reading books, and creating tests. It offers password protection of every book and the editing mode. The print function makes it self-sufficient, as it allows creation of books without using third-party text editors. It uses SQLite, so you don't have to install a database server. It can export to the XWB, HTML, TXT, PDF, PostScript, and RTF formats, and can import from XWB, HTML, and TXT.
Shelk-test is a program for creating tests for students. Tests take up just three modules: creation, testing, and reporting. Shelk-test can insert images into all types of questions, making it possible to create a question such as "What is shown in the picture?" All tests are stored centrally in a SQLite database, increasing reliability and allowing you to have a database file without having to install a database server.
Emma the Emulator is a generic 16-bit CPU emulator written as an educational tool. It supports a basic instruction set, has two registers and a program counter pointing to a heap structure which can be resized at compile time, and has a basic stack (not linked to the heap in any way), a flag register, and an internal "error number" for debugging purposes. There is also a "debug" mode which adds a lot of runtime debugging information and causes the program to sleep for 1 second between operations.
