smupcheck, which stands for Smart Update Checker, checks Web sites for updates automatically, even if they don't offer an RSS feed. It is a very basic tool, and does not offer advanced features such as checking password-protected Web sites, highlighting changes, or filtering results.
The BID software was designed to apply business rules to your email traffic. The goal of the BID tool is to automate the dispatching of this information and to join a business-case with a responsible receiver. A receiver can be a human being or another BID server customized for a special business-case. The BID server was designed as a generic server using plugins to serve specific business-rules.
IAM OPML Parser Class parses an OPML file (provided its URL) and returns an array. This array contains, for each of the OPML file's elements, the following attributes: link_url, link_name, link_target, link_description, link_rss, created (date of creation), and type (link type: RSS, HTML, etc.). The class uses file_get_contents() to retrieve the contents of the OPML file, and then the XML extension is used to parse and store the file’s data in an associative array, where each outline element is stored using a different array index.
OpenSyncro is an enterprise application integration (EAI) tool. It runs on the Apache Tomcat application server and has a Web browser interface for setting up and maintaining component based integration processes. Features include data converters from CSV tables and other text based data formats to XML, support for XSL transformations (XSLT 2.0), calling Web Services, accessing files on FTP/HTTP servers, and databases via JDBC.
