LifeV is a finite element (FE) library providing implementations of state of the art mathematical and numerical methods. It serves both as a research and production library. It has already been used in medical and industrial contexts to simulate fluid structure interaction and mass transport. LifeV is the joint collaboration between four institutions: École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (CMCS) in Switzerland, Politecnico di Milano (MOX) in Italy, INRIA (REO, ESTIME) in France, and Emory University (Sc. Comp) in the U.S.A.
libmnl is a minimalistic user-space library for Netlink developers. There are a lot of common tasks involved in parsing, validating, and constructing both the Netlink header and TLVs that are repetitive and easy to get wrong. This library aims to provide simple helpers that allow you to re-use code and avoid re-inventing the wheel.
The Particle System API allows C++ application developers to easily include dynamic simulations of groups of moving objects. The API is much lighter weight than a full physics engine. It is especially useful for eye candy in games and screen savers, but is also used in off-line animation software. With the Particle System API you create a group of particles, then describe the components of the particle effect using actions like Gravity(), Explosion(), and Bounce(). You apply the actions to the particle group at each time step, then read back the particle positions and other attributes into your app, or send them directly to the GPU as a vertex array or as geometry instances.
Open Basic (OB) is an implementation of the BASIC programming language. It is intended to for embedding into user applications as a scripting language. User-defined functions can be written in C/C++, assembler, or other languages and can be activated from BASIC programs, receive parameters of different types, return their results.
DDMSence (pronounced "dee-dee-em-Essence") is the only Java library that fully supports the DoD Discovery Metadata Specification (DDMS). It provides a complete implementation of the DDMS specification using any DDMS version between 2.0 and 5.0. Validation is performed according to both the schema and the specification, and custom validation rules can be defined with ISO Schematron.
[fleXive] CMS is a Java EE content management system based on JavaServer Faces 1.2. It combines the power of JSF XHTML templating with that of the Java EE 5 content repository, [fleXive]. Some highlights include dynamic JSF templating (Facelets), easy integration of custom logic with EJB or JSF beans, a modular structure, Maven support, generic data structures, and WebDAV and CMIS support. It incorporates all core [fleXive] features like security, versioning, multilinguism, and scripting.
libvalhalla is a library written in C. It is a media scanner that stores various information in an SQLite database and relies on FFmpeg (libavformat and libavutil) and libcurl. It features many Internet grabbers that allow automatic downloading of covers, lyrics, and information on media files, tag retrieval in video and music files, and so on.
