Voody Blue Subtitler is a suit of programs that allows you to manually synchronize a text file with a video stream, thus creating a subtitles file. By using the nmblookup facility from Samba, and configuring hosts to use the WINS service, IP-ID lets you resolve named hosts within your local network. As an added feature, IP-ID can discover and add a hostname for an Xbox running XBMC, allowing simple and repeatable FTP transactions with the Xbox. By drawing on the functionality provided by the MiniUPnP project program, IP-ID can also configure UPnP port forwarding to machines to allow SSH access from the wider world.
Kittens is an application container that can embed X applications and steal them from your window manager in order to provide advanced window management options to any window manager. It can tab windows together, split to show them vertically side by side, and allow applications and splits to be resized with the mouse or keyboard. It works in environments such as GNOME, KDE, and XFCE. Kittens is also ideal for managing applications without having to use a mouse.
