UMLMON is a complete run time environment for User Mode Linux. There is a separate monitor daemon for every VM. It creates the run time environment and starts the VM by executing the UML kernel. The daemon also determines the arguments that are passed to the UML kernel, and includes special support to set up arguments for memory size, virtual disks, virtual network interfaces, and console channels in a convenient way. UMLMON also includes routines to do certain administration tasks like the creation of disks.
VICE is a Versatile Commodore Emulator, i.e. a program that runs on a Unix, Win32, MS-DOS, Mac OS X, Amiga, or RiscOS machine and executes programs intended for the old 8-bit Commodore computers. The current version emulates the C64, C128, VIC20, Plus4, C64-DTV, all the PETmodels, and the CBM-II (aka C610).
Virtual AGC is a simulation of the Apollo Guidance Computer (AGC) used in the Apollo Command Modules and Lunar Modules in 1968-1972, as well as the Abort Guidance System (AGS) used in the LM. The project includes an emulated CPU, an emulated display/keyboard (DSKY), the AGC's original executable binaries and machine-readable assembly-language source code (Luminary and Colossus), AGC source code for a CPU validation suite, an AGC assembler, scanned Apollo documentation, and other elements. The emulated CPU has been designed to be modular and portable, to facilitate incorporation into spacecraft simulations such as lunar-lander simulations.
Virtual X68000 is a virtual machine that emulates a Sharp X68000 and optionally its DOS API. It will eventually run application programs for X68000 without any proprietary software including ROM BIOS, but currently lacks many key functions and is still in early development phase. Virtual X68000 is written in C++, and uses templates to implement instruction handlers.
VisualBoyAdvance Link is a system and GUI that supports GBA/SP multiplayer link cable emulation and linking of up to 4 Gameboy emulators. It is a mix between VBALink and VBA-M. It has a "General Purpose" module that allows the Final Fantasy Tactics Advance game to be played in multiplayer mode, joystick support, display of an image representing a game after selecting a set, and game configuration saving.
WANsim allows you to simulate (more accurately, emulate) a WAN connection. In particular, it allows a user to change the emulated WAN speed, latency, variation, packet loss, packet duplication, and packet corruption aspects. It is configured as a network bridge that is established at boot time and uses the Linux Kernel NETEM functionality to accomplish its goals. Although relatively well documented, this functionality is not the easiest to use. WANsim wraps it into a simple to use script.
