Anteater is a log analyser for MTA logfiles (such as those produced by sendmail and postfix). The tool is written in 100% C++ and is very easy to customize. Input, output, and the analysis are modular class objects with a clear interface. Currently, there are modules for reading the syslog format of sendmail and postfix that do up to eight useful analyses and write the result in plain ASCII or HTML, to stdout or to files.
Anti-Spam Agent for Novell NetMail is a replacement for SpamAssassin's spamd. It will tell the NetMail server to send all new email to it for spam checking. If SpamAssassin determines that the email is spam, you can either have it deleted, or have "X-Spam-Flag: YES" added to the message header. This project also includes assistance for others to write their own NetMail agents.
The Anti-Spam SMTP Proxy (ASSP) Server project aims to create an open source platform independent SMTP Proxy server which implements whitelists, Bayesian, and virus filtering to help stop unsolicited commercial email (UCE). Anti-spam tools should be adaptive to new spam and customized for each site’s email patterns. This easy to use tool works with any mail transport and achieves these goals requiring no operator intervention after the initial setup phase.
AntiVir Update Announcer is a Perl script can be used in middle-sized networks to inform users about updates to the H+BEDV AntiVir software via email. It uses the same information file as the original Internet update program. It alleviates the need to run the update program periodically just to discover whether any updates are available. Optionally, this script can download the new update file and store it to an SMB share or send it as an attachment to the announcement mail. If used correctly, this will easily increase your network's virus protection.
Apache SpamAssassin is an extensible email filter that is used to identify spam. Once identified, the mail can then be optionally tagged as spam for later filtering. It provides a command line tool to perform filtering, a client-server system to filter large volumes of mail, and Mail::SpamAssassin, a set of Perl modules allowing Apache SpamAssassin to be used in a wide variety of email systems.
iSync is Apple's new device-synchronization software that automatically synchronizes your contact and calendar information between your Mac, your cell phone, your PDA, your iPod, and your Mac OS X Address Book. iSync also resolves synchronization conflicts no matter how many different digital devices you use. It synchronizes your data in both directions and uses the most current information. If you’ve made a number of changes and the change is unclear, iSync will ask you which information to use when you sync.
Approver is a set of scripts for automatically approving posts to Majordomo-moderated mailing lists based on the sender's email address. Approver also converts HTML email posts to plain text by first filtering them through DEMIME, and it bounces all posts submitted to mailing lists made by non-list members, preventing list moderators from being bombarded by bogus submissions created by email worms and viruses originating from list member's infected computers.
AqMail fetches mails from remote mailboxes (POP3), applies admin-defined filters, and stores the email in local mailboxes for POP3 daemons to serve them. It supports virtual mail domains and users. It has been tested with QMail as the MTA and with Spamassassin and ClamAV as filters.
