Response is a set of tools to handle automatic email responses, also called "Out of Office", "Vacation", or "Autoreply" messages. Response tries hard to do that the correct way, i.e. not responding to messages that should not be responded to. All of the validation code can be easily modified to suite your needs, but the project tries hard to ship sane defaults. It is designed for many virtual users and multiple mail servers, but works just fine for small deployments. Configuration and response state is stored in an RDBMS.

SOGo is a collaboration suite (or groupware) with speed and scalability in mind. It offers calendaring, address book management, and a full-featured Webmail client along with resource sharing and permission handling. It also makes use of documented standards (CalDAV, CardDAV and GroupDAV, vCard, and vCalendar/iCalendar) and thereby enables the use of many clients and the reuse of any existing infrastructure. The appliance is prepared to be imported in VirtualBox but can also used in VMWare.

Authorized users are identified by their "from" address and a password in the subject line.
zmaildrop is a mail delivery agent (MDA) specifically designed to analyze emails, extract relevant information, and send it to a Zabbix server. It is designed for use with schedulers, backup tools, and security monitoring tools that report information via email. As an MDA, it integrates easily with mail transfer agents (MTA) such as Postfix, Exim, and Qmail, or mail retrieving tools as Fetchmail. It is highly configurable, using a simple YAML syntax to describe tool-specific mail formats.
