Canorus is a cross-platform music score editor. It supports an unlimited number and length of staffs, polyphony, MIDI playback of written notes, chord markings, lyrics, and a number of import and export filters to many formats like MIDI, MusicXML, ABC Music, MUP, PMX, MusiXTeX, and LilyPond. It features multiple viewports of the same score, scripting support, score source view, and a fast and intuitive UI. It is based on Qt4, uses CMake as a project management tool, swig for scripting/macros integration (primary script languages are Ruby and Python), and the cross platform rtmidi library for MIDI playback. It is the official successor to NoteEdit.

FAVS is an engine for setting up a Web site that allows teachers to display content from their pupils' blogs at their Web sites, and lets the students vote the best posts and check the results, with just one simple HTML tag. After signing up, the engine gives a teacher an HTML tag that can be placed at the teacher's blog or Web site. The students will be able to join the teacher's FAVS and, from then on, their posts will appear at the teacher's site.

Fantasdic is a DICT client (RFC 2229). This is a dictionary application that uses the network to retrieve definitions. For example, nihongobenkyo.org is a server that provides Japanese dictionaries. Add it to the settings in Fantasdic, and you can now look up Japanese words. Another well-known server with many dictionaries is dict.org.

Compendium is a tool to generate encyclopedia-type Web sites (e.g., databases of books, authors, publishers, and literary genres) from content housed in a MySQL database, based on HTML templates. It generates pages with relatively static content and relies on Ruby on Rails for providing a backend to maintain the database. It radically separates content (in the database) from presentation. To facilitate this separation, it allows users to define their own custom tags and provides a simple translation engine to deal with, for example, tables of contents and navigation paths.
