The PPPOE with Bandwidth Management for OpenBSD Howto is a document which explains how to build an OpenBSD based router for a small flat-sharing community with four residents. The router should manage the available bandwidth fairly between the paying users and their guests. For the residents, it should be possible to use incoming ports for services like Skype or Emule. The howto basically addresses IT professionals with a rough idea of what OpenBSD is about.
The Isotrol DocGen BOUML plugout is a practical tool to update the OpenUP-based documentation of your project dynamically. DocGen extracts texts and diagrams from a BOUML project and inserts them in an OpenOffice.org Writer document. It's preconfigured with a generic project template and three definition files for Analysis, Design, and Architecture OpenUP-based documents. You can also insert predefined tables and link external images to embed them into the document. You can define your own template and file definitions. It's as easy as writing an OpenOffice.org Writer document and designing your own page format, cover, index page, headings styles, variables, etc. Afterwards, you create an XML file pointing to the parts of the BOUML project with the contents.
SVN2Log automatically generates changelogs from a Subversion repository. You do not need to waste your time and write a special changelog document with a subset of features already described in your SVN commits' descriptions; you decide which parts will be displayed for your users.
Data::Locations is a virtual file manager which allows you to write and read data (text and binary) to and from virtual files (think of bubbles). Moreover, this manager allows you to (recursively) define "magic" insertion points in these virtual files (bubbles inside other bubbles) which can be filled in (inflated) later (through a "straw", i.e., the object's reference), at any convenient time and in any order you like. Since this software acts purely in memory, there is no slowing down through costly file input/output (i.e., no temporary files).
HistView takes an ASCII changelog as input and outputs a formatted HTML page, optionally containing links to download releases. With the included Download Class, you can create download statistics (if you have a MySQL database), and even exclude unwanted bots and crawlers from these statistics or completely prevent them from downloading your files.
PMwiki is a wiki-based system for collaborative creation and maintenance of Web sites. PmWiki pages look and act like normal Web pages, except they have an "Edit" link that makes it easy to modify existing pages and add new pages into the Web site, using basic editing rules. You do not need to know or use any HTML or CSS. Page editing can be left open to the public or restricted to small groups of authors. Running PMwiki as a JumpBox allows you to be up and running with this software in minutes on any operating system. It carries other benefits such as portability across computing environments, a Web-based admin console to simplify administration, and a built-in automated backup system to protect your work.
TikiWiki is a Groupware/Content Management System solution with a long list of features to help you build a compelling Web-based community: wikis, forums, blogs, articles, an image gallery, a map server, a link directory, translation, internationalization, and much more. Running a JumpBox allows you to be up and running with this software in minutes on any operating system. It carries other benefits such as portability across computing environments, a Web-based admin console to simplify administration, and a built-in automated backup system to protect your work.
The goal of Tidydoc is to make documentation organization easier. It makes it easy to add documents to a repository, give them the right names, put them into the right directories, and reorganize them a posteriori. Then it can generate a set of HTML pages to browse your documents and a BibTeX file to reference them. Every operation can be done through a Web interface if you are running a Web server (or using the embedded lightweight server), and/or through command line scripts. This allows documents to be uploaded remotely using scp or any other file transfer program. Tidydoc is written in Python in a spirit of flexibility and easy tweaking, but its default behavior should fit the needs of most people.
A DVD ripping, DVD creation, Web video downloader, and video conversion tool.
