This allows simple Helpdesk, Support, and Planning functions and provides the basis for quality assurance and certification. i-doit allows services to be documented as a logical grouping of objects placed in relation to each other. It uses internal and external signatures to identify and report the specific file format versions of digital files. These signatures are stored in an XML signature file, generated from information recorded in the PRONOM technical registry.
