Silva is a CMS for organizations that manage multiple or complex Web sites. Content is stored in clean XML, independent of layout and presentation. Features include versioning, a workflow system, an integral visual editor, content reuse, sophisticated access control, multi-site management, extensive import/export facilities, fine-grained templating, and hi-res image storage and manipulation. Silva is built on top of the Zope Web application platform.
Spider is a complete standalone Java application designed to easily integrate varied datasources. It will retrieve (on demand or via automated scheduling) data from these varied sources and can be configured to push it to consumers such as listeners on a messaging queue, email accounts, flat files, or databases. It was designed with ease of extension as its highest priority, so its default configuration can be easily modified and extended to support other third-party or proprietary invocation or dissemination methods.
Caudex is a distributed document/reference management system. Its features include support for BibTeX reference types, reference organization in hierarchical categories, BibTeX export, multiple attachments (eg PDF files) for each reference and a servlet-based Web interface with full-text search on the PDF attachments. It is optimized for offline work, and local reference collections can be synced with servers at any time. Multiple local storages are supported and can optionally be synced against different servers.
