PHP Net_IDNA is a class to convert between the Punycode and Unicode formats. Punycode is a standard described in RFC 3492 and part of IDNA (Internationalizing Domain Names in Applications [RFC3490]) . This class allows PHP scripts to convert these domain names without having one of the PHP extensions installed. It supports both IDNA 2003 and IDNA 2008.
ext-Dns is a core library, an extensible forward DNS server, and some additional tools designed to create DNS server solutions which are able to do any additional operation at the resolution level (running commands, rewritting replies, gathering stats, and so on), without any limit. It provides a ready-to-use solution in case you want to build a DNS server which takes additional actions at the resolution level in an easy way. That is, its design is focused on allowing people to implement whatever they like when a request is received, freeing them from most of the details which involves handling DNS protocol.
sql2data fetches DNS information from an SQL database and dumps then in tinydns-data format into the file 'data'. Additional static DNS data from the text file static_data are copied into 'data'. sql2data optionally executes 'make' upon successful export/dump. Backups can be made to the files old_data and good_data.cdb. Optionally, DNS NOTIFY packets may be sent to the different nameservers referenced for the different zones.
Posadis is a domain name server for Unix and Win32 systems. It can both act as an authoritive and as a caching DNS server, and it supports standard DNS master files, zone transfers, and DNS Notify. Its modular structure allows plug-ins to define new zone types and add new functionality.
