updyn is a shell script that updates a dynamic DNS service with the current IP address. It will work with any dynamic DNS service that allows you to call a URL to update the DNS. Each subcomponent tool manages a separate zone that is setup for the specific needs of your administrator, end user, and reseller. If you have a Red Hat, SuSE, or Debian Internet or intranet server, you will be able to add, delete, and change settings and users with just a couple of clicks. ProviderTool is delivered with a separate Apache and PHP server environment. There is also an email protection tool included.
NetDB is a suite of applications for managing DNS and DHCP in a distributed, collaborative fashion. It is geared towards very large networks and can support thousands of nodes, networks, and users. NetDB consists of a database with Web, command-line, and RMI interfaces. Users use the NetDB Web and command-line interfaces to keep the data in NetDB up to date. The GSSAPI-secured RMI interface can be used to create site-specific tools to manage and use NetDB data. NetDB includes scripts for generating ISC BIND zonefiles and ISC DHCP configuration files.
rofldns is DNS server which is a fork of loldns, itself a fork of djbdns. It inherits all the good stuff from loldns, which includes multiple listening IPs, running as a service rather than under daemontools, and some other useful patches, but in addition builds under automake and trivially makes an RPM.
Asynchronous DNS Resolver for Haskell is a library that provides an asynchronous DNS resolver on top of GNU ADNS. Not all options are supported, but A, MX, and PTR lookups work nicely. There is also support for retrieving generic RR types, CNAMEs, and for NSEC zone walking. The library can be expected to work with fine ADNS 1.4 or later. It might also work with version ADNS 1.3, but that hasn’t been tested.
tzoperlcc3 is a TZO.com Dynamic DNS client which seemlessly integrates into the administration interface in the Cobat Qube 3 Internet Appliance server. This allows for Qube 3 users to use any of TZO.com's DNS/domain services on a dynamic or static IP address. The client also has an auto-update feature which can be configured to check for IP changes from once every minute to once a day, and allows e-mailing to the user if the address does change.
