Addns.pl is a self-contained DynDNS update client for DynDNS.org (and possibly others). It supports a variety of IP detection methods including external webcheck/router pages. It also supports multiple configurations and hostnames, smart abuse prevention, and custom/static/dynamic DNS, and can run as a daemon, commandline options only, or with a configuration file.
ldap2dns is a program to read DNS (Domain Name Service) records from an LDAP directory and format them into flat files suitable for TinyDNS (or Bind). ldap2dns reduces all kinds of administration overhead: no more flat file editing, no more zone file editing. After having installed ldap2dns, the administrator only has to modify the data stored in the LDAP directory. Access control can be configured for each zone, GUIs can be more easily implemented, and all other kinds of zone and resource record information can be managed without interfering with the DNS server directly.
oDns is a simple php/Perl/MySQL frontend to the BIND 8.2.1 Name Server. All the hosts information is saved in four SQL tables. The php-based Web frontend allows you to add/edit/remove domains (primary and slaves) and contact information. In the background, Perl is used to generate standard named.conf and specific zone files for all the primary domains.
SendIP is a command-line tool to send arbitrary IP packets. It has a large number of options to specify the content of every header of a RIP, RIPng, BGP, TCP, UDP, ICMP, or raw IPv4/IPv6 packet. It also allows any data to be added to the packet. Checksums can be calculated automatically, but if you wish to send out wrong checksums, that is supported too.

JH2N (Java host to named conversion program) converts a hosts file to a full BIND 8 or 9 configuration. JH2N was inspired by the h2n.pl program included in the O'Reilly "DNS and BIND" book. Various options are available to enhance its operation by incuding external files. Using the simple host file syntax, very large and complex zones can be maintained.
