Freevo is a Linux application that turns a PC with a TV capture card and/or TV-out into a standalone multimedia jukebox/VCR/PVR/HTPC/DVR/set-top box. It uses MPlayer and other applications to play and record audio and video. It is optimized for use with a TV and remote, but can be used with a monitor and keyboard.
Fuse Media Centre is a full featured media application. It supports audio and video files, radio streams, RSS feeds, and Podcasts. It also has a robust media library making use of many Web services such as retrieval of data from LyricWiki.org and Last.fm, as well as an extensive RSS news section displayed in a newspaper fashion for optimal reading. Fuse Media Centre can use any media engine as the backend but currently only supports GStreamer.
GImageView is a GTK+ based image viewer. It supports tabbed browsing, thumbnail table views, directory tree views, drag and drop, reading the thumbnail cache of other famous image viewers, and a flexible user interface. It also support movies using the Xine library and MPlayer, and supports images in compressed archive formats like tar.gz, zip, and lha.
GMediaRender is a UPnP media renderer for POSIX-compliant systems, such as GNU/Linux or UNIX. It implements the server component that provides UPnP controllers a means to render media content (audio, video, and images) from a UPnP media server. Content rendering is done using the GStreamer framework, providing rendering support for the media formats supported by this framework.
