Frameworks is a stop-motion animation frame capture software application for Linux. Frameworks captures images from a camera and strings them together into an animation. These still PNG images may then be combined into a single video file using other software. Only video4linux webcams are currently supported. Frameworks is designed to be easily used alongside the GIMP Animation Package (GAP). It supports frame averaging, onion skinning, and continuous preview.

Additional applications are provided to view the contents of the front-panel LCD and to access other control and status features of the device.
Lluzhionne is a very configurable Webcam program that can apply randomly selected captions, dates, and filters to images before uploading them. It comes with a default set of filters that use NetPBM and ImageMagick; others can be easily added. It can upload images using SCP. It supports Casio digital cameras, YUV420P Video4Linux devices, and grabbing images supplied by an external Webcam program. It does not require X11. It has been tested using the Casio QV-10A digital camera and the Phillips (pwc driver) Logitech QuickCam Pro 4000.

Qtpfsgui is an open source graphical user interface application that aims to provide a workflow for HDR imaging. Supported operations include: creations of a HDR file from a set of images of a scene taken at different exposure settings, tone-mapping an HDR image into a common LDR image format (e.g JPEG or PNG), and loading, saving, and rotating existing HDR images.
