check_oracle_health is a plugin for the Shinken (Nagios) monitoring software that allows you to monitor various metrics of an Oracle database. It includes connection time, SGA data buffer hit ratio, SGA library cache hit ratio, SGA dictionary cache hit ratio, SGA shared pool free, PGA in memory sort ratio, tablespace usage, tablespace fragmentation, tablespace I/O balance, invalid objects, and many more.
MyConnection Server is broadband testing software which measures connections for bandwidth speeds and connection quality for time critical applications such as VoIP, Video conferencing, and IPTV. It helps organizations assess networks for deployment of new/additional services and identify and resolve last mile customer connectivity problems with little need for the customer to assist in the resolution process. A network route testing component details the path of the connections and where packet loss and latency occur, including discovery of multiple routes to a destination. Remote Test Agents enable technical staff to customize and interactively manage the bandwidth testing process and perform extended quality testing over hours or days to address and resolve intermittent problems as required. Satellite Servers establish additional connection testing points at the application edge to accurately test actual application network paths.
cpuburn is is a set of programs that load x86 CPUs as heavily as possible for the purposes of system testing. FPU and ALU instructions are coded in an endless loop in an attempt to maximize heat production from the CPU, putting stress on the CPU itself, the cooling system, the motherboard (especially voltage regulators), and power supply. The tests may damage undercooled, overclocked, or otherwise weak systems and cause data loss or permanent damage to electronic components.
Nagstamon is a Nagios status monitor with a UI that resides in the systray or as a floating statusbar on your desktop. It informs you in realtime about the status of your Nagios, Icinga, Opsview, Ninja, Check_MK/Multisite, or Centreon monitored network. It alerts you with sound and visual notification. Failed hosts and services are easy to connect with by SSH, RDP, and VNC. It works best with GNOME, but also with KDE and Windows.
Network Management Tool makes it possible to quickly find vital information about any of your network devices such as serial numbers and support contact information. A log is kept for each device so that you can enter service information. An automatic export feature that will create a spreadsheet or database-ready file is also provided. Each list is easily edited with a Web interface.
lcdtest is a utility to display monitor test patterns. It was originally written for use with LCD monitors, and may be useful in finding pixels that are stuck on or off as well as for adjustment (automatic or manual). However, it can be useful for CRT monitors as well. lcdtest uses the SDL library, and has been used on Linux with X and on Windows, but may work on other platforms supported by SDL.
MCS MyVoIP very accurately measures the quality and performance of Internet connections for Voice over IP (VoIP) usage by simulating UDP voice data traffic between a server and browser clients. Connections are tested for jitter and packet loss and rated for the supported level of sound quality. The VoIP test can be set to various codecs or customized by packet size, packet rate, and test length. The test can further be combined with a bandwidth speed test or network route diagnostics for more in-depth connection analysis.
