Final Config implements the preference dialogue (typically found under Edit->Preferences) as a separate application that can be used by another application (called the client application or client) through DBus. The available preferences and how they are to be presented to the user is described in an XML file (the desc file), which can be stored in a place convenient to the client. The client does not need to bother with the desc file; it just needs to pass along the file location when invoking the FinalConfig service.

wmudmount is a Window Maker dockapp that can be used to mount filesystems. It uses udisks to handle notification of new filesystems and mounting of the filesystems as a non-root user. It also includes a mode to display the mounted filesystems with the least free space percentage (similar to wmfsm).
Lunchbox is a dynamic tiling window manager for X11. It allows windows to be resized by squishing them against the edge of the screen. In a step away from the desktop metaphor, all programs are given a separate workspace and unique arrangement of windows, and any window can become the desktop. It offers an in-built scalable tab replacement called the Title Menu, which allows any window to be swapped with any other window that fits, allowing very fine grained control over the layout of the screen. Finally, although many windows default to tiling, any window can be changed to a Floating mode, which dialog boxes default to.
