Cameleon is an integrated development environment for Objective Caml and eventually other languages. Its features include a graphical user interface, configuration management based on CVS, easy access to and browsing of documentation, various editors, customizable file types, a plug-in architecture, and a highly customizable interface.
Pin is an ATOM-like instrumentation tool for Linux executables. It allows arbitrary code (written in C or C++) to be injected at arbitrary places in an executable. Unlike Atom, Pin does not perform the instrumentation statically by rewriting the executable, but rather dynamically by adding instrumentation while the executable is running. Currently supported platforms include IA-32, Intel Xscale, and Itanium processors.
BlackAdder is an application development environment that allows professional and hobbyist programmers alike to produce complex applications for the Windows and Linux platforms. It brings together the Python programming language, the Qt graphical user interface toolkit, ODBC database connectivity, and an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) that includes an editor, a GUI designer, a debugger, and an interactive Python interpreter.
APD is a general purpose non-interactive PHP profiler/debugger that produces formatted strace/truss type reports. APD supports full stack backtraces via calls similar to croak() in Perl's carp. APD is a Zend Extension and is designed to provide timing with the minimal performance impact. APD supports varying levels of debugging and can be turned on/off in individual scripts.
glibc-audit is a modified version of glibc for application developers who check their code with an automatic memory access checker such as Purify, Insure++, or valgrind. glibc-audit has been audited and cleaned up so that reports from the developer's use of a memory access checker are more likely to be interesting to the developer, with less "noise" from the C library itself. Also, the r_debug.r_brk protocol has been enhanced to co-operate with a co-resident auditor.
RJCE enables the editing of any method at runtime, applying the changes to any combination of objects, such as an array, or a complete class. It consists of a compiler, javaprec, and an IDE, Runtime Object Modifier (ROM). javaprec is used to compile programs, enabling runtime editing, and uses both sun.tools.javac and ANLTR for compilation. ROM is a JFrame used for editing methods, browsing classes, and viewing variables at runtime. It also includes an interpreter that runs Java scripts (which circumvent normal language access control) and is run from within any Java program. Aspects are also incorporated into RJCE, to enhance runtime editing.
