Traffic Squeezer is a Linux kernel based WAN network traffic accelerator from Doublefish Solutions. It uses methods such as traffic compression, traffic PDU coalescing, protocol specific acceleration (such as TCP acceleration mechanisms), and quality of service. Traffic Squeezer also contains custom L7filters (application protocol filters), DPI (Deep Packet Engines) and so on to control and administrate your traffic. With Traffic Squeezer, you can optimize MPLS,ISDN, leased links, Satellite Networks, and Marine Internet, and even build your own custom WAN Appliance with Traffic Squeezer. A GUI is now supported via Doublefish Solution Aquarium. Aquarium is a Web-GUI that also supports Traffic Squeezer, Squid, and other open source solutions.
Silktree updates the /etc/passwd and /etc/group files on a list of child nodes via SSH. At the lowest level, six Debian system utilities are employed: {add, del}{user, group}, {user, group}mod. The information is transferred from the head-node to the child-nodes. Several sudo-capable mini-scripts on the child nodes ensure limitations while committing the changes. End-to-end checking ensures a reliable update.
fsprotect is a set of scripts that combine tmpfs and aufs to make existing filesystems immutable. After the filesystems are protected, everything that is written will be lost when the computer powers off. It is a great tool for testing and for public computers like those in schools, libraries, etc. It is also very easy to use. It is currently available only for Debian-based systems.
AutoWallpaper is a cross-platform desktop wallpaper changing utility. It automatically (or manually) changes the desktop wallpaper at a specified time interval set by the user. It runs in the background with a system tray icon that is visible when the application is running. It is written in Visual C# .NET 2008 (Windows versions) and Qt 4.4.3/4.5.0 (Linux/others).
flex-fw is a small and fast front-end for the Linux iptables utility with an easy command syntax like ipfw or pf from BSD systems. It features service-oriented configuration, support for network profiles, which is useful for notebooks, support for macros, easy migration to another network environment by redefining macros, easy distribution to many hosts, syslog logging support for iptables errors and dropped packets, an interactive mode for manually configuring "on the fly", a batch mode for execution from shell scripts, and a library mode for using the flex-fw functions in your shell scripts.
timekpr will track and control the computer usage of your user accounts. You can limit their daily usage based on a timed access duration and configure periods of day when they can or cannot log in. With this application, administrators can limit account login time duration or account access hours. It has support for GNOME, KDE, and XFCE and uses time and access Linux PAM modules. It is currently limited to Ubuntu only.
MetricsAnalytics is a Sonar plugin that analyzes the Total Quality related to your Java code. Using this plugin you can visualize your Java code from different points of view: Architecture Quality (normalized distance from main sequence, cycle number, etc.); Design Quality (CBO, DIT, NOC, RFC, etc.); Code Quality (comment, duplicated line, complexity cyclomatic, etc.); Test Quality (code coverage, test failed number, etc.); and Total Quality. MetricsAnalytics helps you to re-factorize your code and check your test coverage. It improves the maintainability, reliability, and efficiency of your project in running time. It tries to unify the concepts of XRadar in the Sonar World with some adaptations to get the Total Quality Indicator. It adds new domains and metrics in Sonar and an extension point in the dashboard: the "Design" domain with the class metrics of Ckjm, and the "Architecture" domain with the package metrics of JDepend.
A massive parallel-processing computing platform that solves big data problems.
