Kune is a distributed social network focused on collaboration rather than just on communication. It focuses on online real-time collaborative editing (Wave-based), decentralized social networking (federation), and Web publishing, while focusing on workgroups rather than just on individuals. It aims to create online spaces for collaborative work where organizations and individuals can build projects online, coordinate common agendas, set up virtual meetings, publish on the Web, and join organizations with similar interests. It has a special focus on Free Culture and social movements needs.
MSCP (Media Server Control Panel) is a management interface for Icecast2 with comprehensive functionality. An administrator can create users and then edit access rights, set the number of listener slots, enable or disable AutoDJ, etc. Users may change several parameters of the Icecast2 server and the AutoDJ via a Web-based interface. Audio compression formats supported by the AutoDJ are MP3, Ogg Vorbis, and FLAC. MSCP does not require an SQL server and runs on an independent Web server. It also sets Icecast2 to Shoutcast-compatible mode.
AudioScope is a text mode audio oscilloscope that captures sounds using DEMO, SOX, or DSP (/dev/dsp}. It is primarily a learning tool for kids. The script includes code and circuit diagrams for calibrating the horizontal and vertical axes. It features a demo mode with no dependences that samples /dev/urandom.
openPLM is a Web-based Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) application. It provides a configuration management system that manages all kind of files and data as documents in a product structure. It supports documents, parts, BOMs, part-document links, electronic signatures for objects, revision management, check in and check out for all files, plain text search using the Xapian engine, navigation between objects using Graphviz, and user management that allows sponsorship, delegation, and rights. Plug-ins are available for Thunderbird, OpenOffice/LibreOffice, FreeCAD, and Gedit.
Whonix is an anonymous general-purpose operating system based on Virtual Box, Debian GNU/Linux, and Tor. By design, IP and DNS leaks are impossible. Not even malware with root rights can find out the user's real IP/location, because Whonix consists of two (virtual) machines. One machine solely runs Tor and acts as a gateway, called Whonix-Gateway. The other machine, Whonix-Workstation, is on a completely isolated network. Only connections through Tor are possible.
