NoSQL is a fast, portable, relational database management system without arbitrary limits. It runs under, and interacts with, the UNIX operating system. It uses the Operator/Stream DBMS paradigm. There are a number of "operators" that each perform a unique function on the data. The "stream" is suplied by the UNIX input/output redirection mechanism. Therefore each operator processes some data and then passes it along to the next operator via the UNIX pipe function. This is very efficient as UNIX pipes are implemented in memory. NoSQL is compliant with the relational model.
SAGU, which is a portuguese acronym for "Sistema Aberto de Gestão Unificada", was originaly designed to automate all of what that happens between a student and their Educational Institution. This relationship happens at the academic, financial and administrative levels, and SAGU has subsystems dedicated to these levels. SAGU can be tailored to fit the needs of any Educational Institution.
Jailer is a database subsetting and browsing tool. It is a tool for data exporting, schema browsing, and rendering. It exports consistent, referentially intact row-sets from relational databases. It removes obsolete data without violating integrity. It is DBMS agnostic (by using JDBC), platform independent, and generates DbUnit datasets, hierarchically structured XML, and topologically sorted SQL-DML.
WebQA tries to be a multi-user relational Web database that can be used without reading documentation. The user can create forms with input fields and fill these record cards with data. The record cards can be browsed, and lists can be produced from the data. The backend is a virtual database structure built with MySQL.
