eLabFTW is an electronic laboratory notebook system. Once installed on a server, every member of a lab can write up their experiments, upload files, manage a database of products (antibodies, chemicals, siRNA, papers, or whatever you want). It was created with usability and security in mind, is very easy to use, and has a long list of features specific to research life.
Xyndravandria Dyverath composes and executes MySQL database queries programmatically. It represents a database system with PHP classes. Other classes are available to compose other parts of the queries like conditions, fields, values, limit clauses, etc. A separate class can also query database table metadata like table fields and primary keys.
STK/Unit is a pure SQL testing framework for MariaDB and MySQL. Users can create Base Tests (Stored Procedures) which are part of Test Cases (databases) and, optionally, Test Suites (other Stored Procedures). Output is stored in internal tables. You can convert it to a human-readable string, valid HTML, or query some convenient views which group results. It can be used to test any SQL structure (tables, views, triggers, stored routines), as well as server upgrades or configuration changes.

As the name suggests, it tries to make it easy to use databases in Erlang programs, to make the language a little more agile, and (humbly) offer a nice adapter for several databases, hiding their implementation details (and the API of the library/framework/driver used to communicate with them). To achieve this, it aims to offer a somewhat consistent API to define and work with your model, while at the same not coupling your code too tightly to it.
Tickets MDB is a Web-based personnel/membership database mainly aimed at voluntary organisations but applicable to any operation which needs to register member details and store member training records, abilities, equipment, vehicles, and clothing. It is based on TicketsCAD and allows integration to that platform for sharing of information with Tickets CAD as an operational dispatch system (However, Tickets MDB does not require Tickets CAD to function and is a standalone application in its own right.) Tickets MDB supports mapping of personnel locations using Open Streetmap and Open Layers and allows local storage of map images/tiles so it can work in a non-network environment (with the exception of email to members, which will require a network connection).
The YB.ORM library aims to simplify writing C++ code that has to deal with SQL databases. The goal is to provide a convenient interface like SQLAlchemy (Python) or Hibernate (Java). The library itself is cross-platform and supports a variety of SQL dialects: SQLite3, MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, and Firebird. Integration with Boost, Qt4, and wxWidgets is built-in. In a typical usage scenario, you would describe your database schema and table relationships in a simple XML-based format, generate SQL code to populate database schema with tables, generate C++ classes, add application-specific logic to the classes, and use these classes in cooperation with the Session object to query objects from the database, create new or modify/delete existing objects, or link and unlink objects using relations. Simple serialization to XML is supported along with connection pooling.
