It uses a data dictionary, configuration files and html templates, and allows "pre-processing" and "post-processing" on both fields, records and operations. It allows multiple views and operations on a data set, including the use of joined tables for queries and reports. A demo application with most of the features is included.
The Easysoft ODBC Join Engine allows developers to access multiple SQL data sources on multiple platforms with a single SQL statement. In cross database applications it can reduce program complexity and significantly reduce query execution times. It creates a virtual database from existing ODBC data sources to provide real-time heterogeneous access to multiple databases on a combination of local or remote devices. To client applications the Easysoft ODBC Join Engine appears as a fully conformant ODBC 3.5 driver. JDBC, XML, and ODBC access from Windows, Linux, and Unix are all supported.
XML-DBMS is a set of Java packages for transferring data between XML documents and relational databases. It views the XML document as a tree of objects in which element types are generally viewed as classes and attributes and PCDATA as properties of those classes. It then uses an object-relational mapping to map these objects to the database. An XML-based mapping language is used to define the view and map it to the database.
